  • New York 8am – 4pm EST
  • London 2am – 12noon EST
  • Tokyo 8pm-4am EST
  • Australia 7pm-3am EST

So this means that the most convenient time to trade is from 8:00 GMT and 16:00 GMT since financial institutions and companies take advantage of the five hour window when different parts of the globe like London overlap with the United States.
